Donard/Glen football notes
February 22, 2010
Well done to the County U21 team who beat Longford in Aughrim on Sunday last. Niall Curran and Dermot Daly were our men on the panel.
There was a big turnout for the 7 a side tournament on Sunday morning. Unfortunately due to a mix up over the location of the games, no games took place. Any field which had goal posts had footballers in it. Next week at 11.00 in Donard we will start the ball rolling. First game is Galway captained by Brian Lennon who will play Down captained by Colm Toomey. In the second game Kerry led by Ronan Conron will play Rory Toomey‚s Dublin. Last game will see Mick Daly‚s Wicklow up against Harry Mangan‚s Cork.
Gerry McGrath is keeping the handball flag flying he beat Eamon Sunderland from Carlow on Thursday in Ballymore Eustace in the Emerald Masters „B‰ Leinster singles 40 X 20 championships.
Don‚t forget the dinner dance on Friday next in Germains ,it is always a good night.
