Hard Luck to our Intermediates who, on Sunday, were defeated by Knockananna in the Intermediate Shield Final. This was the last match of the year and brings a long and enjoyable competitive season to a close for this group. We played 18 games in total. The team lined out as follows in the Final: Ann Vickers, Aileen McDermott, Niamh Donnelly, Jordan Diskin, Elaine Deely, Orla Kely, Rita O'Toole, Tracy Shalloe, Mairead Berkery, Celina O'Toole, Eithne Byrne, Jessica Morrissey, Susan O'Toole, Mary O'Brien and Eleanor Kelly. Subs were: Linda Fagan, Sarah Burke, Jenny O'Brien, Mairead Grennan and Laura Gammell. A big thanks to Billy for all he's done this year and especially for his endless patience!! Our thoughts straight away turn to Glasgow and our visit to the Women's Celtic Festival in October when we will have 2 teams in the Tir Conaill Gaels' Camogie Tournament. Also on Sunday, our stars of the future were playing in Sandyford when our Under 9s lined out against Naomh Olaf's best! 4 goals apiece and everyone was happy-a great performance all round. tanks to all our parents who travelled and to Naomh Olaf for their hospitality. Featuring for Kilcoole in this fixture were: Grace Bruton, Lorna Bates, Lucy McCabe, Holly Bates, Lara Reynolds, Caitlin O'Toole, Sarah Mohan and Kaitlin Daly.Well Done to all! That also completes the Under 9 programme of games in Dublin for this season. Our thanks again to Dublin County Board and the Clubs which facilitate us playing in this age group. Next Friday, our Under 12s play Aughrim in Ashford in the Shield at 6.30 and later on Friday night we welcome a group of U14 players from Monaghan. They will stay with us for a week-end of camogie (broadly) related activity! e are looking forward to the week-end when we can renew contacts made when we visited Monaghan recently. They will leave at lunch time on Sunday when some will make their way to Croke Park to cheer on Monaghan in the All-Ireland Ladies' Football final.
