There is an interesting bill on offer in Aughrim on Saturday afternoon involving a double-header minor championship affair with holders Blessington taking on Luke O'Toole's and Bray Emmets facing St. Patricks and the action commences at 14.15. In the first game there will be a fine array of talent on both sides with Blessington having such players as Dean Siney, Alan Kelly, Eddy Boylan, Troy Francis, Paul McLouglin, Ronan Doyle and Seán Byrne among the ranks. There are quite a number of players with inter-county experience in the O'Toole's team also including Robert Lambert, Oisín Doyle, Brian Walsh, Stephen Dillon and Ian McDonald. Joe Hayden of Carlow, who is expected to have them in great shape, trains the South County team.
