Intriguing second semi-final
September 12, 2008
Management at Bray Emmett's will be well aware of how important Paul Earls was to the Wicklow town side against Blessington and some strategy is likely to be put in place in order that the influential forward be denied another 1-7.
Much will be expected of Carlow man Thomas Walsh, whose form may well have quite a bearing on proceedings. Jonathan Kinch will be relied upon to punish any Rathnew indiscretions and continue his free-taking success. St. Pat's will be anxious to improve upon the defence, which allowed Blessington register a score of 2-6.
The champions of 2006 seem to be regarded as favourites, something that the Bray players won't be unduly worried about. Having knocked out the county champions, the Seasiders will believe that they can dispose of the previous champions too.
