It may have taken a few months, but the Wicklow County Board have finally filled the position of treasurer.
The position was vacated by Colm Finnegan late last year and no one was appointed in the role at the county convention last December.
However, at the most recent meeting of the Wicklow County Board, St Patrick's clubman Alan Smullen was appointed to the important role.
The appointment of Smullen on the executive brings the tally of St Patrick's clubmen at the top table to five, which is something unusual in GAA circles.
Smullen was part of the selection committee tasked with finding a Wicklow senior football manager with their recommendation of John Evans being accepted.
