This weekend sees the opening round of the Wexford senior football championship take place.

The action kicks off on Saturday evening and concluded 24rs later. All adult football championships begin this weekend and in total there are 30 games down for decision.

St Anne's will be buoyed by the return of Rory Stafford from the U.S as they take on St Fintan's on Sunday evening.

Two thousand and fourteen runners-up play St Martin's in an intriguing opening match also on Sunday.

With the fine weather that we have, there should be large attendances at all games over the coming days.
