Here's wishing you a Facebook-free February...

Ex-Wexford hurler Diarmuid Lyng is urging people to take on the Facebook Free February (FFF) challenge.

Lyng came up with the idea of FFF to support Soar, a movement initiated by former Clare hurler Tony Griffin to deliver wellness workshops to teenagers across Ireland.

The idea is that people will disconnect themselves from social media and take the power back from their phones:

"The aim is to take back your power with social media so it doesn't control you - you control it," Lyng says in The Irish Daily Star.

"I challenged a few people to a Facebook Free February to change their social media habits and mobile phone habits for a month or three weeks or a week."
