Chin: promotion race still on

Lee Chin has refused to give up on Wexford's national hurling league promotion bid.

In order to book promotion to Division 1A, the Model County have to beat Cork in Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday and hope that Limerick fail to win away to Laois. It's a long shot but Chin hasn't given up hope:

"As far as we are concerned, the league is still there to be won and, if we get our result, we can still win," he comments in The Irish Sun.

"It's not going to be easy but we do believe we can do it. There are a lot of good things happening for us and we have not given up all hope."

Chin is taking great heart from Wexford's performances against Dublin and Clare in last year's championship (they took the Dubs to a replay and forced extra time against the Banner County):

"At the end of the day, we still came up short in both of those matches but there are a certain amount of positives we can take from them. Knowing we can compete with these teams is a big thing."
