Former Wexford All-Ireland winner Dave Guiney is still lining out for his club Rathnure, just five months short of his 50th birthday.

Guiney and his twin brother Rod won All-Ireland medals with Wexford when they defeated Limerick in 1996.

His son, Jack is rated as one of the top club hurlers in the county, but has fallen out of favour with the Wexford management in recent years.

Now, some 23 years later, Dave lined out at corner back in the Wexford Junior B hurling championship final.

Rathnure faced St Anne’s in the decider and the sides played out an entertaining draw with the replay being next weekend.
