Scor na nOg

Commiserations to Jemma Seery who performed brilliantly at the Scor na nOg county final on Sunday but had to give way to Orlaith Murray from The Downs. Jemma did a beautiful job on her song, The Two Conneellys, and while she scored very well, she came up just short on the day. Congratulations to Orlaith and The Downs who won club of the year and almost made it a clean sweep of titles, losing out to the only other winners on the evening, Moate All Whites, in the ballad group.

Annual General Meeting

Our AGM is scheduled for Sunday 11th December at 18:00 in the Clubhouse. To quote an extract from an old article on club AGM's that's recently doing the rounds on Facebook : "This should be our New Year's resolution. But we'll make it in December. Get involved. Sign up. Take a job. Help out. Don't just show up to watch the kids when they are playing. Don't wait to be asked. Make a difference in your club. This is ownership. And you need to take it.". So there you go, see you at the AGM!

Leinster Club Final

Hard luck to Rosemount who were pipped agonisingly at the post with an injury time pointed free in their Leinster Intermediate Club Final against Gaeil Colmcille of Meath. They have been great ambassadors for Westmeath football during their campaign.
