The St. Ernans U-14's finally get to play their Championship final next Saturday Morning at 10:30am in Killucan against Inny Gaels. It's been some achievement to get to the final and we ask you all to please make it to the game and shout on the lads who have been working extremely hard all year. The very best of luck to all the players and mentors from us here at St. Pauls GFC.

Congratulations to the St. Ernans U-12 Footballers and their coaches who defeated Ballycomoyle to win the Darragh Farrelly Cup last Saturday in Clonmellon. Well done to all involved. As well as winning the U-12 Darragh Farrelly Cup, the St. Pauls U-10's also bet their Ballycomoyle counerparts in the Darragh Farrelly Shield. Again, well done to all involved.

Our U-8's and U-10's finished off their year on Monday evening last with a trip to Gibbstown outside Kells to take on their counterparts from the Wolfe Tones club in 2 very entertaining matchs that both St. Pauls teams won. Well done to all involved.

Hard luck to the St. Ernans U-16 footballers who lost out to Tubberclair in their Championship clash on Monday night. These defeats tend to mask the work the players and their coaches are putting in all year and all of us here at St. Pauls GFC appreciate their efforts.

Well done to the St. Pauls/Delvin ladies football team who took part in the LGFA mini 7's tournament in Portmarnock last Saturday.

Hard luck to St. Ernans Juvenile Secretary Veronica Kiernan who was on the Lough Lene Gaels losing team in last Saturdays County Camogie final against a strong Raharney side.

Commiserations to the Brownstown hurling team on their relegation playoff defeat to St. Bridget's last Sunday morning. All of us here at St. Pauls GFC wish them well for 2017 and a speedy return to Senior Hurling.

After 40 years of loyal service and 1000's of children educated, Ms. Deirdre O'Boyle has retired as principal of Clonmellon National School. Please come along to the school on Friday Oct. 21 at 7pm to say goodbye to someone who had such a positive influence on many of us here in the Clonmellon & surrounding areas. All of us here at St. Pauls GFC would like to wish Deirdre the very best in her retirement.

Club lotto envelopes can be got from any of the local shops and pubs, at Bingo on Monday nights or from any of the committee members. The Lotto draw takes place every Monday night during bingo in the local Community Centre. The Cost is €2 a ticket. Currently the Jackpot stands at €2000. There was no winner of last week's Jackpot.
