UNDER 16 BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL RESULT

Rosemount 5-13  Shandonagh 1-7

Our under 16 boys were out on Saturday in their Division 2 semi final against Rosemount in Milltown. This match was played in horrendous conditions; conditions that didn't suit our lads at all. Unfortunately we were well beaten in the end by a physically stronger Rosemount team. The club would like to thank the coaches and all the under 16 lads for all their hard work and commitment this season. Although disappointing to bow out at the semi final stage, this squad have made steady progress not just during this year but year on year over the past number of years. Provided they stick together and carry on playing, it will not be too long before this terrific group of lads will achieve their goal and claim a county title.

UNDERAGE GIRLS TRIP TO CROKE PARK

Last Sunday our underage ladies from Under 10 to under 14 travelled to the All Ireland Ladies Football Final to Association Headquarters. In all 43 children travelled, both children and adults had a hectic but great and memorable day. Thanks to all the mentors, Ronan, Eileen, Barbara, Kathy, Frank, Aisling, Elizabeth, Edel and Ann.

INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL

Next Sunday, 2nd of October, all roads lead to TEG Cusack Park as we face competition favourites Rosemount in the 2016 Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final. Throw in is at 2.00pm. Please let us make the effort to get behind our young men who have trained so hard and made so many sacrifices to line out in our community's colours. So again we appeal to All Shandonagh supporters out there to please come and support our Intermediate Squad.
