St Pauls Clonmellon notes

July 19, 2016

Our junior footballers hosted Cavan side Munterconnaught Sunday  morning last in a challenge match played in Clonmellon. It proved to be a good run out for the lads with st.Paul's coming out on top. The club would like to thank Munterconnaught for coming down to play the game and we wish the well for the future.

Junior Championship

With just 3 games left to play in the group stages, things are really starting to heat up in this years Junior Championship with Castletown-Finea and Multyfarnham setting the pace and Kilbeggan & ourselves close behind in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Next up for St. Pauls is a local derby with neighbors Delvin this coming Saturday at 6pm in the Downs. Please come along on Saturday and shout on the lads.

Summer Camp.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 10 am-12 noon for the months of July August and the charge is 2 euro per child per day or 5 euro for a family of 3 or more. Proceeds from the Summer Camp will be put towards buying a Defliberator machine for the club - a great investment so please support.

Juvenile details.

The "Little Pauls" nursery runs every Saturday morning at 10am at the club grounds where the "stars of tomorrow" are taught the skills of our game in a fun filled and safe environment and is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 6. New players, as always are welcome, just show up on the day. We are also looking to get more parents involved in our nursery on Saturday mornings. If you are interested in helping out please contact any member of the committee or just show up next Saturday morning.

Well done to the St. Ernans U-16 footballers who bet St. Mary's Rochfortbridge last week on a scoreline of St. Ernans 3-11 St. Marys 1-15.

Hard luck to the U-14 Footballers and their coaches who were beaten by Tyrellspass last Thursday evening in Clonmellon. The lads fought to the end and were up against a much bigger and stronger team.

Hard luck to the Westmeath senior football team who were beaten in last Sundays Leinster final. We wish them the very best of luck in the qualifiers.
