Maryland GAA club notes

July 18, 2016

Mick Smyth RIP
It is with deep we regret that we extend our sympathies to the Smyth family on the recent passing of Mick. Mick was a founding member of our club and has been an ever present member and supporter over the years. He was heavily involved in the teams over the years and the running of the club, a true Maryland Man who put the club first and was always there to encourage the players when they needed it. He was a proud Maryland man taking great joy in our successes over the years with regaining our Senior status in 2008 being one of his proudest moments. We extend our sympathies to his wife Mary, son Kevin and their extended family. RIP

Westmeath SFC
We are scheduled to play Garycastle on Friday night coming in Páirc Chiarain Athlone at 7.30pm, this is a crucial must win game for us so all support is greatly appreciated.

Sympathies
We wish to extend our sympathies to Noel Rabbitt and family on the recent passing of Maureen. RIP.

Leinster final
Well done to Callum, Kieran and the Westmeath team who took on Dublin on Sunday in the Leinster final, the lads fought hard but we're in the losing side in the end. Our lads both done us proud putting in strong displays.

Crome Park halftime
Well done to Oisin Egan for his great performance in the halftime game at the Leinster final, scoring 2-1 in his performance he done his club proud. Keep up the hard work and hopefully you'll be back again in the future.

Lotto
No jackpot winner and no match 3 winner in this week's lotto draw. Next weeks jackpot is €4100. Thanks for your continued support.
