Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA Notes

February 14, 2016

The late Regina McMahon

Sympathy is extended to the McMahon family, Tullamore Road on the sad passing of Regina last Thursday after a long battle with cancer. A native of Tyrrellspass and a sister of the well-known singer Fr Ray Kelly, Regina was a popular member of the teaching staff at Scoil an Chlochair. She was only 59.

Her son Richie was a member of our 2000 intermediate championship winning team, while her husband Seamus is a great supporter of the club. May she rest in peace.

Lotto

The numbers drawn last weekend were 3, 15, 18 and 20. No jackpot winner. Match 3 winners were Pat Cunningham, Rosemary Scally, Abbie Keenan and Senan McCormack. Next Saturday's jackpot remains at €15,000.

National Draw tickets

A final appeal to members who have not yet returned their National Draw tickets to return them to secretary Marie Lynagh as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone who has sold their tickets to date.

Westmeath minor captain

The club extends its congratulations to Adam Loughlin-Stones on his appointment as Westmeath minor football captain. Adam, who plays his club football with The Downs, is a son of clubman and Tullamore Road native Michael Stones, who is chairman of the Westmeath football and hurling club in New York.
