Lilliput Gaels Underage News

Well done to our U6 team who played Kilbeggan/St. Joseph's on Friday evening in Streamstown. After a great game of football, our lads came out on top. Our U12's are hosting an end of year tournament in Castletown on Sunday 4th October at 11am where the teams will fight it out for the Days Bazaar cup sponsored by the Murphy family, Mount Druid. Help on the morning will be appreciated.

Table Quiz
Our annual table quiz takes place on Friday 2nd October in Mahons at 9:30pm, sharp! As per usual, Sean Delaney will have an interesting and challenging night in store. This is one of the clubs main fundraising events so please come along and support on the night.

Meet & Train
Meet & Train continues on Tuesdays at 7pm at the walking track. It's a fun way of meeting up and getting some exercise in. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.

Football Foundation Course
A Football Foundation Course will be held in Mullingar on Monday October 5th, Monday October 12th and Thursday October 22nd. All sessions start at 7.00pm with the sessions on October 5th and 12th running in the Barracks Mullingar and the session on October 22nd in Cusack Park. The course is aimed at Juvenile Coaches but any coaches that might attend will find it very beneficial. If interested please let us know as soon as possible so we can book you in.

Club Lotto
Last weeks numbers were 12, 16, 29 and 30. There was no jackpot winner and next weeks jackpot is now €1700.

Sympathy Notes
The club wishes to extend it's deepest sympathy to the Hynes family, Mullingar and McCormack family, Rochfortbridge, on the death of Genevieve Hynes. Our sympathy also goes to Sean McGee and family, Raheenmore on the death of Sean's mother, Mary Mcgee, Roscommon. Sympathy also to the Kirby family, Castletown, on the death of Olive McCormack, née Kirby. May they Rest in Peace.

Kilbeggan Area Solidarity Group
A meeting in the Parish Centre, Kilbeggan on 11th September decided on a practical way to help those refugees in the camps across Europe. As a start, they will gather warm clothing to be forwarded through the bigger agencies to those in need. The collection point will be St. James' Hall, Kilbeggan again on Saturday 3rd October between 10am and 4pm. Priority list of items required include tents, blankets, sleeping bags, warm winter clothing and toiletries. Volunteers will be there to receive donations.
