JFC quarter-final

We face Mullingar Shamrocks in the JFC quarter-final next Friday evening. At the time of writing, no time or venue was to hand.

Mullingar confirmed their place in the quarter-finals with an emphatic win over St. Loman's last weekend. The game will evoke memories of the thrilling 2012 JFC final which we won by three points. The Mullingar second string is bound to be strong again and we are under no illusions about the task awaiting us.

The numbers drawn last weekend were 4, 11, 16 and 19. Incredibly, there were nine match 3 winners - Tommy McDaniel, Mona Kelly and Tommy Carberry x 2, Mary Daly, Lil, Olga and Nicola Gorman, the Hanevy twins from Rosemount, Joe Coffey and Senan Claffey.

Next Saturday's draw takes place in the Saddler's Inn when the jackpot will be €13,600.

Ladies football

Commiserations to our senior ladies footballers who suffered a 0-4 to 2-13 defeat to champions Milltown in last Sunday's championship semi-final in Athlone.
