Westmeath Seniors
Massive congrats to the Westmeath Senior team and our very own Kieran Martin who put in an inspiring Man of the Match performance to get Westmeath over the line scoring 2-3 from play. Great grit and determination by all the lads and let's hope we can show the same against the Dubs. Hopefully we will see Callum back from injury to regain his position in the team for the final.
Division 1
We played Garycastle on Saturday evening last in Drumraney, we allowed the opposition to open up a 7 point lead in the first 20 mins which left us with lots to do. Our lads couldn't overturn the deficit and we lost on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-4.
DRUMRANEY/TANG COMMUNITY GAMES
A Family Fun Day and Bar-B-Que in aid of Drumraney/Tang Community Games will be held on Sunday July 5th at 3.00 pm in Murrays of Maghera. Activities on the day will include Tug of War and Kids entertainment.
Our Girls Under 12 Gaelic Football team will be playing their Leinster semi-final on Saturday July 4th at 11.00 am in Kildare GAA Centre of Excellence in Hawkfield, Newbridge, Co Kildare.
All support for both days will be greatly appreciated
Lotto
No Jackpot winner and 1 match 3 winner was J Egan in last week's draw. Next week's lotto jackpot is €7900 Draw takes place on 1st July.
Golf Classic
Our Annual Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday 24th July in Glasson Golf & Country Club. This is a great social occasion both for Golfers and non-Golfers alike and encourage all to participate. Full details in the coming weeks.
Maryland/Tang Football Nursery
The Maryland/Tang GAA football nursery continues this Friday 26th June in Drumraney from 6:30pm until 7:30. For boys and girls aged 4 to 7, the nursery introduces children to sport and helps them to develop their motor skills of agility, balance and coordination through fun and games.
The children will play games in small groups and parents are welcome to get involved in running these games. No football boots or gear required, just come along and have fun!
