Court cases will soon be heard at the St. Loman's GAA clubhouse in Mullingar.

Loman's, whose facilities are the envy of many clubs in the midlands, will hold court while refurbishment works are carried out on the local courthouse. The courthouse is expected to be out of action for up to two years.

"The Courts Service had been looking at property in and around Mullingar for some time and we were delighted, as part of the community, to be able to accommodate them," St. Loman's chairman and local county councillor Aidan Davitt told the Westmeath Topic.

"It's great to see them stay in Mullingar and Loman's are delighted to be able to do that. It will keep jobs in Mullingar and the time and resources that would have been wasted having the court elsewhere would have been shocking."

As for St. Loman's chances of regaining the Flanagan Cup this year, the jury remains out on that one!
