Crookedwood GAA Notes

May 23, 2015

Junior Championship
Crookedwood 0-10 Raharney 2-10
We travelled to Raharney on Thursday Night last to face the home team in the first round of the Junior Championship.

It was typical championship hurling with both teams going hell for leather in a tough game played in ideal conditions on a fantastic playing surface in Joristown.
In an well contested first half Crookedwood had the better of the exchanges. But when Johnny Orme's penalty was saved (after Micheál Savage was dragged down), Raharney replied instantly with a goal of their own to level proceedings.
Crookedwood were quite wasteful in possession in the second half and a mini- revival in the last 15 minutes wasn't enough to claw back the margin.
