Following two heavy defeats in the NFL Division Two campaign, Westmeath footballers will be keen to turn their fortunes around against Cavan at the weekend.

Tom Cribbin brings his charges to Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday evening having lost their last two matches to Meath and Down.

They are now in a relegation battle, but a further two points could see them retain their Division Two status for another year.

Cavan are a point ahead of Westmeath on five points and they still have an outside chance of promotion, while a defeat to the Midlanders could see them dragged back into a relegation battle.

Westmeath need to reproduce the form they showed earlier in the campaign if they are to have any chance of avoiding the drop.
