Eoin Price says Westmeath have plenty to work on ahead of Sunday's winner-takes-all Allianz Hurling League Division 2A meeting with Carlow at Cusack Park.

The Lake County trailed Wicklow by 0-2 to 2-3 early on before recovering to register a 1-22 to 2-10 win last Sunday, which leaves them on the cusp of a divisional final appearance.

But speaking to the Westmeath Topic, the Clonkill midfielder warned: "That won't be good enough against Carlow next week.

"Wicklow just started very strong and got the two goals. That happened to us against London as well, when they got a goal early on.

"In fairness our lads didn't panic, we know the ability in the team and we can stay composed and work our way into the game. At the same time, it is something we will have to address before this Sunday's game against Carlow.

"So we will definitely have to work on getting a good start."
