Lotto Results
There was no winner of last weekends lotto jackpot of €15,000. Numbers drawn were 15 , 21 , 23 , 26 . There was no match three numbers, so the following 2 people each received €100: Eileen Flanagan pro Eileen Flanagan and John Walsh pro Centra. Promoters prize went to Majella Egan.
FEIS CUP
On Saturday last, 15th November Tyrrellspass GAA travelled to Bunbrosna to take on the home side in the final game in the group stage of the Feis Cup. On a fine day for football, despite the soft pitch following the heavy rainfall of the previous few days both teams served up an entertaining match. Bunbrosna were first off the mark with a point before the teams traded points in the early stages before the hosts took the lead with a well taken goal in the tenth minute to lead by two points, 1-1 to 0-2, G Egan and C Slevin for the visitors. Again they traded points and were level after 25 minutes, 1-3 to 0-6, a free from G Egan and points from D McNicholas, G Hoey and A O'Brien. Tyrrellspass finished out the half stronger and in a five minute spell before the break scored 1-2 to lead at the break 1-8 to 1-3, point from G Hoey and 1-1 from Dean McNicholas.
The second half followed much the same pattern with Bun getting the first score after the break but Tyrrellspass replied with three points in a row from Egan (f) C Slevin and J Gonoud to lead 1-11 to 1-4. Bunbrosna added another point and then things might have changed in the 39th minute when the hosts brought out the best of Tyrrellspass 'keeper Darren Quinn who made a fine save to deny them a goal. Moments later Bunbrosna had another great chance of a goal but the opportunist shot went just wide of the post. Tyrrellspass added another two points from McNicholas and Egan to stretch the lead, 1-13 to 1-5. Another point from an Egan free in the 50th minute cancelled out an earlier free from the hosts, 1-14 to 1-6. Another free saw the hosts close the gap before Tyrrellspass introduced fresh legsin the 54th minute. B Gonoud an C Gavigan were introduced for D Jessop and A O'Brien. With his first possession Gavigan scored a fine point to extend his sides lead and moments later Hoey added his third point before the hosts had the last score of the game leaving the final score Tyrrellspass 1-16, Bunbrosna 1-08:
Overall this was a very good team performance, our defence was resolute throughout and worked tirelessly to deny the host scoring opportunities. All over the field there was great effort and team spirit evident. This result means we have qualified for a semi final slot in the Feis Cup competition.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Tyrrellspass GAA Football club will hold its AGM on Friday 12th December 2014 at 7.00 p.m. in the Pavilion. This meeting will give everyone their opportunity to have their say on the running of the club as well as present an opportunity for others to become involved with the club. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting, members and supporters alike. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
