Minor county final d 2
St.Marys vs Milltownpass
This game got underway in a wet and windy cusack park. Both sides started strong with both sides showing some nerves early on.The first half seen st.marys with the wind and conditions were very wet.We seen some brilliant defending from both sides and the catching in the middle was second to none.Milltownpass were getting on top with scores in the first half and st.marys just not having the luck in front of goals. This was a low scoring game. The second half started and st .marys were against the wind and having to work very hard which they did.We seen some great individual play and brilliant team effort throughout this half,we had some goal chances but we just couldnt convert them today.our lads kept going to the end and it was milltownpass that snatched a winner in the last few mins to put 4 between the sides and st.marys just hadnt the time left on the clock to do so.Final score st.marys 0-5 - milltownpass 1- 6.hard luck lads great effort, lady luck just not there today for ye.

Jim McHugh Memorial plate semi - final.
St.Marys vs St.Malachys/ballinagore
We travelled to garrycastle for this semi final last saturday and it was very slippy conditions and extremly windy,We were up against the wind in the first half and our lads worked extremly hard throughout the half and got some well worked scores but we also let to many balls into our goals and over the bar in the first half.We seen some brilliant fielding and the second half we really got on top in this game and really caused havock, changes were made and they really worked but this game went really down to the wire and we had a nail bitting finish but it was st.malachys to prevail by 2 points in the end,we wish them the very best in the final and we will lock horns again next year no doubt,
