St Loman's are on the lookout for a new manager after Declan Rowley stepped down in the wake of their county SFC semi-final defeat to Mullingar Shamrocks.

Last Sunday's replay went in the way of Shamrocks and following the final whistle, Rowley who guided the club to their first senior title in 50 years last year announced his decision to step down.

Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner he said: "I took on the job of principal in St Mel's, Longford and it takes a lot out of you combining the two roles.

"We managed to get over the line last year and only lost the semi-final by a point in a replay this year. They are a real honest outfit, a young team, and I wish the lads well for the future."
