U10 Boys
The curtain finally came down on the U10 season on Saturday morning last in a foggy St Dominic's, Knockcroghery, and what a finale it turned out to be as the boys in Blue came out victorious in the annual Knockcroghery Fair tournament. Played in a novel format of three teams of seven a side, the Athlone lads kept their best football of the year until the last day. Despite missing a few regulars, the 23 Athlone boys who made the trip were fantastic. From the tenacious tackling to their running off the ball and brilliant passing, the lads were determined to end the season with some silverware and duly did just that as they won all of their games. Sincere thanks to all at St Dominic's for their excellently run tournament and great hospitality.  Thanks to all who helped out with the team during the year and we wish Joe all the best in his recovery from knee surgery. The victorious Athlone panel  on the day were:  Conor Devins, Rian Dully, Ryan Fallon, Luke Farrell, Jack Gavin, Conor Gill, Eoin Hardiman, Tobey Heavy, Clinton Imade, Johnny Martin, Donagh McCormack, Lorcan McCormack, Dano McMonagle, Luke O'Connell, Oisin O'Sulivan, Daniel Omukoro, Jason Rushe, Ian Rushe, Alan Sweeney, Philip Seweryniak, Niall Tallon, Jason Ukatu,  and Brandon White.

We look forward to seeing all the U10s at the bowling alley on Sunday next at 11.15 for our end of year celebrations. No team deserves a party more!!! Well done for all your great work during the year lads.
