Training
Underage Training from 14 to 5 year olds, continues in Pairc Chiarain, Tuesdays 6.30 to 7.30 and Fridays 6.00 to 7.00.
New Players always welcome. Moving Indoors to Marist soon on Tuesday nights.
Adult Hurling Training: Extra Autumn Training Sessions in Pairc Chiarain, Thursdays 6.00 to 7.00.
Minor Challenge
Lusmagh (Offaly) 1-19 Southern Gaels 3-8
Southern Gaels travelled to Lusmagh last Sunday for a challange ahead of their minor championship game this weekend. The home side dominated the opening half and led by 0-10 to 1-0 but Southern Gaels were much the better side in the second half. Ross Cooper made a welcome return to competitive hurling and came on at centerhalf back for the second half. Sean Dowd, Cathal Mc Givern, Adrian Garvey and Dermot Treacy gave good performances with Fionn Dowd a real target man at full forward.
