U16 Championship
St Lomans U16's exited the championship after suffering defeat away to a superior Shandonagh side on Friday evening last. The home side controlled the game from start to finish. Shandonagh kicked some impressive scores and their stronger physical presence proved telling on the day. St Lomans best performances came from Ryan Cleary, Conor Shaw, Mark Tubridy and Fola Ayorinde.
The club wishes to thank the players for their wonderful commitment and attitude throughout the year. Thanks to Pat Layde, John Heslin, Shane Dempsey and Stephen Gallagher for their assistance with training at various times. Finally special thanks to the management team of Joe Maleady, Gary Devine, Paul Martin, Dwayne Egerton and James Brady for efforts with this team.
U10 Boys
The U10 boys hosted a very successful blitz on a glorious Saturday afternoon!
The competition was intense and included teams from Westmeath (Mullingar Shamrocks, Rosemount, St Malachys, Athlone, Coralstown Kinnegad), Dublin (Ballyboden, Kilmacud), Kildare (Maynooth, Celbridge) and Killoe from Longford.
Prizes went to St Lomans (with victory over an excellent Rosemount side) Killoe, Ballyboden and Athlone. Results were secondary to the boys enjoying themselves playing teams they would not normally get the chance to play!
A special thank you to the referees Brendan Griffith, James Brady, James and Declan Cox, Adam Carroll, Stephen Gallagher and John Heslin. Thanks also to the ladies (Lorraine, Aine, Gillian, Edel, Ursula) who helped with the catering and also for providing refreshments! Without your help there would be no blitz!
Underage Girls
Our U8 and U10 girls travelled to Killucan on Saturday. The U10 team played games against Killucan, The Downs and Delvin, whilst the U8 team played Killucan. On a very warm morning and in front of a large crowd of travelling supporters both teams played some terrific football. Thank you to Killucan for the invitation and for the much-needed refreshments afterwards.

Golf Society
Congratulations to Mick Tyrell who won the captains prize on the latest Golf Society outing at the weekend!!
Lotto
There was no jackpot winner from the lotto draw on September 10th. The numbers drawn were 6,7,18,23. Winners of €50 each were Ger McManus, Stephen Callaghan, Joe Mc Nally & Eamon Clinton. Next week's jackpot will be €6,600.
