U10 Boys
The hardest working underage team in the club had an extremely busy week, even by their standards. Three away outings in six days is a big ask for any team but this group are nothing if not resilient. Monday saw the lads make the trip to Ballinasloe to play Padraig Pearses in round five of the Clann tournament. Both matches were played in a great sporting manner and it was probably right that the spoils were split one win each when the final whistle went.

Thursday night saw round six of the Clann tournament and we visited Kiltoom for the reverse of last years'  fixture. On the night, the Roscommon lads won narrow victories in both games but the boys in blue can be very proud of the way they handled themselves in what were extremely physical encounters.

Saturday saw the lads play in the St Loman's Lenister U10 Blitz. Twenty four eager players made the trip to Lakepoint Park. Both teams played some marvellous football against some top clubs in Leinster, including Ballyboden St Enda's and Kilmacud Crokes, not to mention our hosts, Mullingar Shamrocks and Coralstown-Kinnegad. Our young blue team picked up a D final trophy while our white team were runners up in the B semi-final, being beaten by and excellent  Celbridge side. It was a tired but very happy group of players that left the team bus at 7.30 last Saturday evening (The McDonalds on the way home might have helped!!) Sincere thanks to Lorcan Sleator and his St Loman's clubmates for an excellently run competition.
