Senior Championship
we played St.Oliver Plunketts in the final round of the Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday 13th. a repeat of last years county final had all the potential to be a very tight and tense affair. both teams found it hard to get an early lead as points were traded score for score. Castletown got 3 fine points before half time to go in on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-08 in favour of the black and amber men. the second half began similar to how the first half ended with both teams going score forscore. some inspiring goalkeeping from paddy maloney in the castletown goal kept castletown in the game mid way into the second half. the mullingar men kept the waves of attacks coming and with 10 minutes took the led. cue substitute blaine lehart to save the day for the castletown men with a well taken goal from a fine ball by alan mangan. Mullingar got their own goal in the final minutes but it was to little to late as castletown held out on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-15. Intermediate Championship
We played Southern Gaels in the final round of the Intermediate Championship. U-12 championship
our under 12 team had a good win against turinon Wednesday evening winning on a scoreline of 6-11 to 4-08
