Underage Training
All Underage Training continues on Tuesday evenings, U8 @ 6-7pm and U10 @ 7-8pm . All new members welcome.

Senior Championship
On Tuesday night last (July 15th) our Senior Hurlers played Crookedwood in the 3rd round of the County Championship. This match followed just days after both teams had played their respective 2nd round games. Castlepollard settled into the game the better of the two, and at half-time Castlepollard led on a scoreline of 10 points to 3 points.

The second half however was a different affair. A spirited comeback by Crookedwood saw that lead reduced significantly coming to the closing stages of the game. In the end however Castlepollard did just enough to hold on to win on a final scoreline of 1-15 to 2-08.

This was a lacklustre performance by Castlepollard and Crookedwood could well have been victorious had they been more clinical with their shooting. This Castlepollard squad is capable of far better and hopefully they will give a better account of themselves in their next game against Lough Lene Gaels.

Membership Cards
Membership Cards for 2014 have been printed by the Club and are currently being distributed to 'paid-up' members.

Underage Coaching Camp
This years Summer Camp will take place on Wednesday 30th July to Friday 1st August.

Bingo
Our weekly Bingo continues every Sunday night at 8.30pm in the Hurling Complex. There was no winner of the Main Jackpot of €13,800 last Sunday night July 20th and so it now stands at €13,900 for next Sunday night. Our 2nd Jackpot of €8,800 was not won and now stands at €8,900.

Lotto Draw
Our Lotto Draw took place during Bingo on Sunday 20th July. The numbers drawn were :- 9 - 18 - 26 - 29. There was no jackpot winner. The 6 x €25 winners were:

2. Hugh Gibney, Collinstown.
3. Mick Dermody, Ballycomoyle.
4. Camillus Kennedy, Castlepollard.
5. Kay Mulvaney, Cresley.
6. Larry Og Murtagh, c/o Margaret Gaffney.
Our next draw will take place at the Bingo on Sunday 3rd August 2014. New Jackpot will be €6,800.
