Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA Notes

July 20, 2014
We chalked up our fourth win in this year's JFC at the expense of Delvin in The Downs last Sunday afternoon.

We dominated throughout to eventually run out impressive winners on a 3-20 to 0-9 scoreline.

Team: Shane Keenan; James Fox, Shaun Pidgeon, Johnny Dinnegan; Brendan McMahon, Warren Maher, David Marshall; Paddy Barry, James Brennan; Paul Maloney, John Brennan, James Finnegan; Simon O'Neill, Fergal Fox, Keith Gorry. Subs used: Paul Fennell, David Fennell, Tadhg O'Gorman, Nigel Scally, Kevin Smith and Ciaran Egan.

JFC v Milltown

We continue our JFC campaign on Friday evening when we meet Milltown in Cusack Park in round seven. Throw-in is 6.30pm.

Ladies football

Our hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the senior ladies football championship hang by a thread, despite an impressive 5-13 to 0-11 victory over Coralstown/Kinnegad at St. James' Park last Tuesday, July 15.

With Tyrrellspass and Mullingar Shamrocks drawing on the same night, it means that we need Coralstown/Kinnegad to do us a massive favour by beating Mullingar in their remaining round-robin match.

Team: Stephanie Meehan; Gillian Heeney, Sandra Lynam, Deirdre Robbins; Sharon Heeney, Joanne McCormack, Sandra Garvin; Niamh Durkan, Sarah Guilfoyle; Nicola McDaniel, Jill Draper, Laura Hannon; Triona Durkan, Mairead McCormack, Edel McCormack. Subs: Eimear Fox, Lorraine Claffey, Debbie Ennis.

Lotto

The numbers drawn last weekend were 3, 7, 17, 18. Enda Fox was the only Match 3 winner. Next Saturday's draw is in Larrigy's.

Engagement

Congratulations to long-serving player Kevin Smith and committee member and former secretary Emma Pidgeon on their engagement last weekend.
