Former Westmeath hurling captain Bryan Smyth was the toast of South London last weekend after he guided his charges to success in the Feile Division 3 football cup.

Smyth, who has been based in London for the past number of years travels over and back every weekend to line out with his native clubs Killucan and Raharney.

From his teaching post in London, he got involved with the local under-14 team and brought them over to take part in the Feile Peil na nOg which was held in Connacht last weekend.

Smyth's charges defeated Westmeath's own Athlone in the semi final before seeing off the challenge of Aughnamullen of Monaghan in the final. Tweet
