Knighthood Festival

Well done to the organisers of last weekend's Kilbeggan Knighthood Festival which was surely the best one yet.

Members of our underage, adult and ladies clubs took part in the parade, which was led by Grand Marshall Pat Lynagh, on Friday evening. A word of thanks to Pat for 'borrowing' the Delaney Cup from Dublin for the weekend.

The Leinster SFC trophy was also due to make an appearance at our Ray Fox Memorial Skills Day on Bank Holiday Monday.

Sponsored carwash

A big thank you to all the players, parents and friends who helped out with the Kilbeggan / St. Joseph's girls' football club sponsored carwash which raised almost €1,000 last Saturday. Thanks also to the M6 Service Centre for facilitating the carwash.

Wedding bells

Heartiest congratulations to well-known newsagent and long-time club member John Whelan and Sharon Ward, Tullamore Road on their marriage last Saturday. The wedding took place in Tubber, followed by reception afterwards in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar.
