MAW 3-11 The Downs 3-6
With 3 draws out of 3 starts so far the lads finally posted their
first victory at the expense of the Downs in a cracking game that
flowed one way and then the other and then back again.Moate started
off well and Keith O Brien finished off a well worked goal but the
black carding of David Minnock,who was having a fine game,seemed to
unsettle us and the Downs took over at the start of the second half.A
somewhat fortuitous goal finished by Darren Claffey steadied us again
and we finished strongly the highlight of which was a great
opportunistic finish by Darren Claffey again.Given the way results are
going in this division we are still well placed to challenge for

Our u16s played some good stuff to come away from Springfield with the
points.There is a nice balance to this team with a good blend of
strength and skill and we look forward to see how far they can
