Westmeath Camogie notes

Irish Daily Star League Semi Final
Next Sunday 20th April the Westmeath team will line out once again versus Armagh who they will play in the Semi-final of the Irish Daily Star Division 3. Supporters will know that Westmeath were defeated by just one point when they played Armagh in the Divisional stage of the league and we have it all to play for in this semi-final. The game has been fixed for 2:30pm on Sunday in O' Raghallaighs, Drogheda

Under 16 Leinster Campaign
The Under 16 county team are continuing their preparations for the Leinster Sheild final which will be played on Saturday 26th April 2014. Details will be posted when available.

Intermediate league Finals (2013).
Last Saturday evening Crookedwood and Lough Lene Gaels lined out for the 2013 delayed Intermediate league final. Lough Lene Gaels were the 2012 champions and have been very successful in this competition since it's inception and Crookedwood certainly challenged the holders on the day. Crookedwood were victorious and brought home the shield.

Under 16 competition.
At this stage almost all games in the first three rounds of the Under 16 championship have been played. The next rounds are to be played on 23rd April followed by one round on 7th May before the exam break. Games will resume on 25th June then after the state exams.

Under 14 Feile na nGael.
The semi-final pairings have been decided in the Féile na nGael competition. Next Wednesday 16th April Clonkill will play Castlepollard and Lough Lene Gaels and Drumraney will meet.

All County League.
Round two of the league was played on Monday last 14th April. There are five rounds in each division of this new competition.

Under 12 Go Games Blitz
Well done to all the under 12 teams who took part in the first Go Games blitz of the year in Castlepollard on Saturday. The second of the blitz days for under 12s is on next Saturday 19th April in St. Oliver Plunkett's. The Camogie Board would like to extend many thanks to those clubs who are hosting the blitz days in U12 and to those who make themselves available to referee.

Table Quiz
We are looking forward to relaxing at the County Camogie Table Quiz which will be held on Tuesday 22nd April at 8pm in the Annebrook House Hotel. Anyone interested in partaking in the quiz should contact their local camogie club with a view to entering a team.
