Southern Gaels 2-10 Fr. Dalton's 1-3
Southern Gaels won their opening game of the League with an impressive display from their Junior side in this game played in Pairc Chiaráin last weekend. Impressive displays from Patrick Flynn, Shane Galvin and Cathal Mc Givern in defense set the tone. On his return Dermot Carey gave an excellent performance scoring 1-3. With all forwards scoring it was a good all round display.

Minor League Div 2
Cullion 4-15 Southern Gaels 1-9
Cullion were far more impressive in this Minor League fixture and were deserved winners. They led by 2-8 to 1-5 at half time and with wind advantage in the second half scored a further 2-7. Adrian Garvey, Sean Kilgarriff, Dermot Treacy and Fionn Dowd gave good performances but overall had to give second best to the Mullingar side.

A vote of sympathy was passed at the last meeting with the Ryan family Coosan on the death of Pat's mother from Limerick.
