U14 Football Shield Semi-Final

Lilliput Gaels 5-10  Kinnegad 4-06

Our U14 footballers put in another great performance on Sunday morning in Ballinagore when they accounted for a determinded Kinnegad outfit in the semi-final. Many of our players were playing the previous day in an epic extra time win for Castletown U14's but there was no sign of fatigue and the lads put in a high octane performance to reach the final where we will now face Moate. Second half goals from Philip Reynolds and Shane Corcoran, four excellent saves by our goalkeeper Ronan McClavin and a great all round team performance ensured the win in the end. Well done to all. Team: Ronan McLavin, Oisin Kiernan, Sean Jackson, Eoin Robinson, David Costello, Killian Jackson, Dylan Franzoni, Philip Reynolds, Jack Gannon, Peter Murphy, Shane Corcoran, Adam Clarke, Jack Mulligan, Adam Cassidy, Andrew Dalton, Shane King, Morgan Redmond, Sean Macken, Jack Maloney, Paddy Maloney, Dylan Corrigan, Luke Robinson, Darragh Mulligan.

U12 Football - Jim McHugh Tournament Semi-Final

Lilliput Gaels 8-09  Milltownpass 3-09

We had a good win in the Jim McHugh memorial tournament against Milltownpass on Wednesday evening last played in Ballinagore. Despite all the bad weather last week the sun shone for us on the evening and both teams served up a very competitive and even first half. Play went from end to end with some well worked moves and thanks to some well taken goals by our boys we lead 5-05 to 3-05 at the break. On the restart we upped the pace with two more quick goals to put daylight between the teams and this proved the difference on the final score board. We now await the winners of the other semi-final and we could be fixed to play in the final next weekend. Team: Dylan Birch, Eoin Carey, Conor Maloney, Fionn McKinley, Sean Bolger, Aaron Jackson, Dara Mulligan, Cian Corcoran, Dylan Corrigan, Luke Robinson, Patrick Maloney, David O'Malley, Eoin Bolger, Rory Quinn, Gavin Ennis. Subs: Shane Maloney, Ciaran Doran, Conor Robinson, Oisin McCabe, Dara Fagan, Frazier Young, Lennon Swan.
