The Late Tom Doolin ...

The members of Mullingar Shamrocks extend their deepest sympathy to the family of the late Tom Doolin, Ginnell Terrace, Mullingar. Back in the day, Tom enjoyed many a great night in the Mullingar Shamrocks Clubhouse and of course members of the Doolin family have served Mullingar Shamrocks and the GAA with distinction at many levels over the decades.

The GAA gene is embedded in the family as back in 1942, eighteen-year-old Tom Doolin was a member of the  Milltown team that won the Triple Crown of Westmeath GAA, the Senior Championship, League and Feis Cup. Two of Tom's team colleagues were men who later contributed substantially to the Mullingar Shamrocks cause Peter Lynch and Bill Daly.
