Division 6B Final

This final,  Garrycastle v Tang,  has been fixed for Tubberclair on Friday evening  (Jan 18th) at 7.30pm

Operation Transformation in Garrycastle

As part of the Garrycastle GAA Club Healthy Club initiative, an Operation Transformation 5km walk will be held on the Greenway on SATURDAY mornings starting at 9am, and WEDNESDAY evenings at 7pm.  Meet up at the clubhouse. It's a great opportunity to get in some exercise and meet people. It's always easier going for that walk with a group than on your own.  All are welcome!

Sympathy

The club wishes to extend sympathy to the Hope family Ballykeeran on their recent bereavement.

Garrycastle Astro Tournament

The Garrycastle 8-a-side winter football league, which was run on our new Astro pitch for the club players hardship fund, is coming to an end with the two semi finals fixed for next Saturday evening the 19th January.  First of all we would like to thank Pascal Dillon and Dans Tavern for sponsoring the tournament, and we hope to have our presentations there on Friday 26th January after the final.   We would also like to thank the 32 teams that took part which raised €3200 for the fund.

The first semi final starts at 6pm and the teams are REILLYS HEN (which are mostly players from Ballinahown FC and are captained by Neil Scally), who play TANG BOTTLERS (who are mostly players from Tang GAA club and are captained by Niall Neary). This game will be tight and highly contested game in which we are sure to see a lot of goals.

The second semi final is fixed for 7pm and the teams are RUBY TUESDAY (which is made up of current and past Willow Park FC players and are captained by Robbie Shine) who play THE YOUNG UNS (which are made up  mostly of Westmeath veteran players and are captained by John Keane).  This will also be a tight game, where maybe one or two goals will see the winner through. And with a few club players involved in both teams the bragging rights will be as important as the win.  So if you are free on Saturday evening come and support the teams.
