Best Wishes

We would like to wish all club members the best for 2018 and thank all for their hard work during 2017.

Annual Christmas Bagpack

Our annual bagpack raised much needed funds for the club. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of Buckleys for the opportunity to have this fundraiser again, it is greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank all who made a donation over the couple of days and all volunteers who gave a dig out.

Senior Trainer

Our senior trainer for 2018 is now in place and we would like to welcome Mick Lawlor into the club and wish him, the backroom team and the panel of players all the best for the coming year. Training will commence in the coming weeks.

Westmeath Hurling

Hard luck to the Westmeath hurling squad on the narrow defeats to Offaly in the Walsh Cup recently. Crookedwood was represented by Barry O Mara and Shane McGovern.

Multyfarnham football.

Crookedwood GAA wishes Multy the best of luck for the upcoming All Ireland semi-final vs Lahardane of Mayo, the game is fixed for 2pm on Saturday in Dr.Hyde Park, Roscommon.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Barry O Mara on his engagement to Julie over the Christmas period, we wish them all the best for the future. Congrats also to Colin Murray and Siobhan who welcomed baby Caoimhe into the world on New Years Eve. And finally best wishes are extended to Crookedwood lady Sinead Owens and Clonkill hurler Andrew Mitchell who got married recently.

National Club Draw

The Club are raising much needed funds through the sale of the GAA's 2018 National Club Draw tickets. The purpose of the GAA National Club Draw is to assist clubs in their drive to raise much needed funds. The draw is an opportunity for the Club to raise up to €20,000 to help us develop and promote our games and grounds in Crookedwood. Please note that the Club retains all of the proceeds from the tickets sold by the Club. The top prize in the National Draw is a Renault Dynamique and the other prizes include a travel voucher worth €2,000, All Ireland Hurling and Football Final Packages for 2 (including premium level tickets, overnight accommodation and an evening meal), shopping vouchers and Blue book vouchers. In total there are 20 prizes in the National Club Draw.

Westmeath football

Best of luck to the Westmeath football panel and management in the O'Byrne cup final vs Meath on Sunday.

Lotto: Latest results; 29/12/17, Jackpot €3450. Numbers drawn: 3, 13, 15, 21. No winner; €20 winners, Betty Orme, Tomas Brennan, Maura Cahill. We are asking all members to support our lotto draw.The lotto draw is the financial lifeline of our club and we appreciate all support. Tickets can be bought in The Wood or from any committee member, alternatively annual tickets can be purchased for €100.

Condolences: Crookedwood GAA extends deepest sympathy to the Scally family, Reynella, Donoghue family, Gaulmoylestown and the Hynes family, Mullingar on their recent bereavements.
