Ballygunner's Shane O'Sullivan believes that their hard work paved the way for their success over Glen Rovers in the Munster club SHC.

The Waterford champions hit ten unanswered points during the third quarter to ease past their Cork counterparts and book their place in the provincial decider.

Speaking to the Waterford News & Star he said: "You need different skills at this time of the year, you need to get back to basics and work hard.

"We were under pressure. The Glen are a very committed team and you could see in the Cork county final how much it meant to them to win after 26 years. We knew it would be a battle and thankfully we came out on top."

Ballygunner will now go on to play the winners of Sunday's semi-final which sees Na Piarsaigh take on Thurles Sarsfields.
