Team news: Cats include Fennelly

Kilkenny's Michael Fennelly. INPHO

Michael Fennelly will make his return to the Kilkenny starting 15 for Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final clash with Waterford at Croke Park.

The Ballyhale Shamrocks club man, who missed out on the Cats' 1-25 to 2-15 Leinster final victory over Galway due to illness, which saw John Power receive a late call up, regains the number eight jersey at midfield alongside Conor Fogarty and is one of two changes made by manager Brian Cody.

Power drops to the bench while the other change comes in the full back line with Clara's Shane Prendergast occupying the number four jersey instead of the injured Jackie Tyrrell. Tyrrell suffered a stress fracture of the foot and underwent surgery last week.

Richie Hogan and TJ Reid are fit to play despite injury concerns but Richie Power is definitely ruled out.

Kilkenny (SHC v Waterford) - Eoin Murphy; Paul Murphy, Joey Holden, Shane Prendergast; Padraig Walsh, Kieran Joyce, Cillian Buckley; Michael Fennelly, Conor Fogarty; Walter Walsh, Richie Hogan, TJ Reid; Ger Aylward, Colin Fennelly, Eoin Larkin.

Subs: Richie Reid, Michael Walsh, Robert Lennon, Diarmuid Cody, Lester Ryan, Joe Lyng, John Power, Jonjo Farrell, Matthew Ruth, Mark Kelly, Conor Martin.
