Club action gets underway

The Sargent Cup senior hurling league begins this weekend.

Despite, Waterford facing Galway in the NHL quarterfinal on Sunday, the decision to start the club league goes ahead as planned.

All 12 senior teams are in action this weekend with some very attractive local derbies amongst the fixtures.

The games are due to be played at 3pm on Saturday and teams will be forced to line out without their county players.

The meeting of Ballygunner and De La Salle is one of the standout fixtures while in other games Passage play Roanmore; Tallow take on Cappoquin; Abbeyside face Dungarvan; Fourmilewater and Mount Sion do battle and Lismore entertain Ballyduff Upper.
