Devine inspiration

December 12, 2014

Two-goal hero Tom Devine is adamant that Modeligo can push on for All-Ireland honours.

The Waterford side claimed the Munster title with a 5-12 to 0-14 win over Cork champions Castlemartyr and not only did Devine score two goals, but he also set up two for corner forward Michael Troy.

Now they have a break until January when they will face British champions Fullen Gaels and Devine told the Waterford News & Star that he is already looking ahead to that game.

"Hopefully we can push on and it would be a great thing for the club. Two years ago, the likes of this would have been unreal altogether," said Devine.

"Now it is very real and an All-Ireland final is on the horizon if we can get through to it. That will be our goal from now on."
