Waterford champions The Nire are the latest side charged with the task of stopping Clare double chasing champions Cratloe.

The sides meet in the Munster club SFC semi-final and Cratloe are bidding to reach two provincial finals in the one year, having already reached the Munster club SHC decider.

In the quarterfinal, The Nire impressed against Ballylanders and they will need to be at their best again this Sunday when they host the Clare champions.

Cratloe are a very solid outfit who have momentum on their side, but the amount of games that they are playing have to be taking their toll at this stage and this is where The Nire could capatilise.

The Waterford side are going into this clash in a fresher state and if they can stick with Cratloe up and until the 50th minute mark, they could push on and win.
