Waterford minor hurlers begin the defence of their All-Ireland title when they take on Clare in the Munster campaign next Wednesday night.

The months since their All-Ireland win have slipped by and now that all preparations are done, the focus is on the clash against the Banner at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Waterford can call on just four of the team that started last year's All-Ireland final for this year's campaign, but they have a number of the 2013 panellists available also.

Manager Derek Lyons and his selectors have been working hard with the squad and the mood in the camp is believed to be very good at the moment.
