Waterford manager Paraic Fanning has included Michael ‘Brick’ Walsh in his first starting 15 for the 2019 season against Cork this evening.

Walsh will officially begin his 17th season in a Waterford jersey when the Deise men take on the Rebels in the Munster senior hurling league at Mallow.

The Stradbally man is named at left half-back while Noel Connors captains the side from left corner-back, with Shane Fives at number three and Jamie Barron and Brian O’Halloran partnering one another at midfield.

Stephen Bennett will lead the attack from full-forward while young sharpshooter DJ Foran is included in the half-forward line with Kevin Moran and Mikey Kearney.

Throw-in at Mallow is at 7.30pm.
