Whats happeing with the hurling then regards Fullen Gaels and Yorkshire ? Are they not in Warwickshire anymore?

Good to see 2 games being played the weekend, assume games being played this early in the year is all to get lads to be able to play for the County ?

I think there will be a Lancashire hurling championship this year, and that both fullen and Yorkshire have elected to compete in that. As far as I'm aware, the championship will follow a league format this year with five teams - Mitchell's, casements, barnabas, EGB and st Declan's (Hertfordshire I think) squaring of with the top two teams meeting in the final.

Im guessing a lancashire championship would mean a Lancashire County Team as well will be the next step, that will be a blow for Warwickshire after last years success.
Beginning to think it will turn into a 'Rest of Britain' eventually after London?

Well, on top of the county championships there will be 'All-Britain' competitions in the hurling this year - A 'Senior' on featuring Mitchell's, Fullen and a host of London clubs, and an 11 a-side Shield competition featuring Casements, Barnabas, EGB, Yorkshire Gaels, Wolfe Tones (Liverpool), St Declans (Herts).

Should be interesting!

Saint Declans showed to be a great addition to championship and when they have there full panel might cause a surprise.

SB greater experience really counted for them.

Declans beat RC 3.13 0.7 was 0.9 0.2 at ht. Was always 6 points in it until StD hit a goal and pulled away in final 10minutes.

Presumed it was EGB who couldn't field. A shock 2 points for them.

Declans looking strong, good to have another team to compete in Warwickshire. EGB were on they're way out when they were told Mitchell's only had 6. Mitchell's are a great side and probably don't need the win to get to the final but bad form not giving EGB notice or even fielding a second string team with the size of their squad.

StD are still finding themselves and improving every game. Pity there was a walk over and from an unlikely source tbh.
