Irish Pubs in East Riding

(Oldest Posts First)

I have recently moved to the East Riding of Yorkshire and am looking for an Irish pub to watch the championship this summer. I live near a town called Pocklington. Anyone know of any pubs in Pocklington, Market Weighton, Beverley or if needs be York that'll show the matches? Any suggestions appreciated

Hi, I live just outside of Market Weighton and I am unaware of any Irish pubs in the area, the best bet is probably O'Neills in York as I believe some of the O'Neills pubs show GAA on sundays. I am not sure how often though as I only looked into it last week, good luck with the search if I find anything else I will let you know.

just Googled "Irish pubs Yorkshire". a list came up and will probably keep you on line for hours. Worth investigating.

now then, now at Edinburgh uni but Pock is my home town. Assuming you found somewhere to watch matches but I'll chip in. You'll find nothing in Pock or Weighton and most likely not Beverley. I've went regularly to O'Neills in York and it has never let me down.

Where abouts are you in my neck of the woods?

Thanks for the replies fellas, I went in to O'Neills a few times over the summer and went home for the All Ireland final. O'Neills done the job but they wouldn't put the sound on the telly. I live in Goodmanham just above Market Weighton. If the two of ye who are in the area want to go for a pint, let me know.

The Leeds Irish Centre show all games, championship and club championship games and it's on the way into Leeds for you on the A64 - I know it might be a bit far, but at least it's definite and the sound will be on.
